Social Media Scheduler

Here is a list of the most popular Social Media Tools to help you keep on top of your social media posts!

As bloggers of any kind be it food or any other genre, social media must maintain a high priority if you hope to gain any traction in order to make your blog into an income generating venture. You should be spending equal amounts of time creating and posting as you do spreading the word via social media. This is a time consuming process, and even more so for food bloggers as it takes us more time to develop our posts. We are not just sitting at a computer and typing out content from our brain or research. First we have to develop the recipe, then cook it (sometimes more than once), photograph it, edit the photos and then compose and engaging introduction. On average, one post takes about 3-4 hours of work. However, that’s just the beginning. Now you have to promote it on social media.

In order to help you schedule posts in advance that can be a huge time saver, here are some of the most popular social media schedulers. Some of them are free for a specific number of accounts and others require a monthly fee for any accounts. Most allow you a free trial period so you can see which one/s best serve your needs and your work flow.

Social Media Tools

1 – Tailwind – Instagram and Pinterest only. This is a great scheduler. You can specify how many times a day you want to post. The scheduler then determines when is the best times to post, based on the times that most of your audience is online. It also suggests related hashtags for you to use on Instagram. $120/year per account

2 – Hootsuite – You can use for all major social media platforms. It is free for 3 social media profiles. $19/month for up to 10 social media profiles with unlimited posting.

3 – Loomly – You can use for all major social media platforms. $12/month for each profile.

4 – Buffer – You can use for all major social media platforms. $10/month for up to 10 social media accounts, up to 100 posts/month.

5 – Sprout Social – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, Linked In but no Pinterest. $99/month.

6 – Viral Tag – Works with most social media platforms except Google+ $24/month for up to 10 social media profiles.

Note: Instagram does not allow social media posting with a third party. You will get a notification and will still have to manually post.

Hope this helps you become more efficient in your Social Media scheduling!
