This is a super simple smoothie using just 3 ingredients. This is perfect as an after dinner treat on a hot summer day when the heat sways you away from heavy, decadent, super sweet desserts. I used a very ripe banana when coupled with the frozen yogurt did not need any additional sugar. If your banana is less ripe, you may feel the need to add additional sugar or honey.
I haven’t met a kid yet who didn’t love bananas, so this is perfect when your kids are begging for dessert and there’s not a cookie or a cupcake to be found in the house. You can have a low fat dessert beverage on the table in 5 minutes.
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 1 very ripe banana
- 1/2 cup guava nectar (mango or papaya nectar would be great substitutes also)
- 3/4 cup vanilla frozen yogurt
Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree.
