I am much delayed in posting the roundup for My November’s My Legume Love Affair event. I can give you a list of reasons and excuses, but that’s not what you’re waiting for. Here’s all the delicious recipes in celebration of legumes:

My dear friend Usha contributed a delicious black eyed peas curry, perfect to warm you up with the cold temperatures we have been having the past week in NYC, where we both live.

Deepali is a new blogger I discovered during this month’s MLLA. She has a wonderful blog with breathtaking photos. This traditional Indian recipe for Dal Makhani from her Mom is worth a try.

One of my Blogging Marathon friends, Priya contributed several recipes including this Indian breakfast dish – Poha Moongdal. A wonderful way to introduce yourself to the use of flattened rice (poha), an ingredient not used in the West. Go to your local Indian market, get some poha and try a unique & healthy Indian breakfast.

Priyas next recipe is another South Indian classic, kootu. This version with cabbage. Cabbage Kootu

Sorhum Adai is Priya’s flatbread contribution.

Mixed Vegetable Moong Dal Kichdi is another South Indian classic dish.

Linsy is another blogger I am very familiar with as she is frequently comments of my recipes. She has a great variety of recipes. She has a great variety of recipes from many different cuisines. Do spend a few minute’s and browse around her space. Her recipe for Methi Chole is a great way to experience a basic of Indian cuisine, chole – stewed chickpeas.

Harini not only has a wide selection of dishes on her Vegetarian blog, but is also our grand winner of this month’s prizes of Hurst’s beans and The French Market Cookbook: Vegetarian Recipes. Her delicious recipe for Nut & Legume Powder will compliment any dish.

This salad recipe is from Srivalli, the leader of the Blogging Marathon group of which I am a part of. Every month several of us get together and blog on a variety of themes. She has created wonderful friendships and a warm and inviting blogging community that garners her so much admiration. With her busy life, she still manages to come up with delicious recipes like this Mixed Lentil & Vegetable Salad,

I contributed this Spinach Soup with Chickpeas & Roasted Carrots

Congrats Harini!!!

  1. Wonderful rounduo mir!! Congrats harini! Sorry Mir, I probably didn't read the rules properly, I think only 1 dish per person is allowed. Thanks for considering all the dishes I sent for the event!!!
