Maharashtra Tapioca Fritters…Sago Vada

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sago soaked in water for 2 hours
  • 1 large potato boiled, peeled and mashed
  • 2 green chiles finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chile powder cayenne pepper
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro finely chopped
  • salt
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, except the oil and mix well.
  • Heat enough oil in a skillet for shallow frying.
  • With wet hands, form into little patties.
  • Place in the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.
