Combine spices with 2 tablespoons water to form a paste.
Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in a large pan.
Add okra and saute for 3 minutes, stirring often. Remove to a plate.
Add the remaining oil. Add the onion, curry leaves and ginger and cook, until onions soften.
Add coconut milk and spice paste and bring to a boil.
Add okra and reduce to a simmer.
Cook for 15 minutes until okra is cooked, stirring occasionally.
Add lemon juice and stir to combine.
