Classic Pumpkin Pie

Cook Time1 hour 15 minutes


  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 15 oz. can pumpkin puree
  • 1 12 oz. can evaporated milk
  • 1 baked pie crust


  • Beat eggs in a large bowl. Add sugar, salt, spices and pumpkin. Mix well.
  • Add evaporated milk and mix until thoroughly combined.
  • Transfer to pie shell. Cover pie crust with aluminum foil. Bake for 15 minutes
  • Reduce oven temperature to 350 F. Bake for 1 hour.
  • Leave to cool.
  • Serve with fresh whipped cream.
