					<description><![CDATA[Wow - this looks totally fabulous.  I&#039;ve always been a bit nervous of okra (terrified of the &#034;slime&#034; factor), so I&#039;ve never even tasted it, but this is the second post I&#039;ve seen for okra this week that really makes me want to eat it - Michelle at Ms enPlace did an okra dish too the other day.  I totally love the sound of the bread sauce, and I really like your addition of the pesto.  Great dish - thanks for sharing it.]]></description>

I know about Southern okra fritters (and we also make these in the Caribbean where my family is from)which uses sliced okra in the batter, but I think frying the okra whole is what I find unique in this.]]></description>

thanks...it really was an explosion of flavors. The pesto and the yogurt married so well with the other flavors. It really would be quite ordinary without those two accompaniments.]]></description>
